Why Learn Ceramic Coating

One of the Most Valuable Skills in Detailing

Ceramic coating is a premium service customers ask for by name. Installing it well takes the right prep, timing and technique, and that is exactly what this class teaches.

A Higher Ticket Service

Ceramic coating is one of the highest value services a detailer can offer, and it pairs naturally with paint correction packages.

Protection That Lasts

A properly installed coating protects paint from UV, contaminants and daily wear far longer than wax or sealant.

Easier Maintenance

Coated paint beads water and releases dirt, so your customers spend less time washing and come back happier.

Done Right the First Time

Poor prep, high spots and streaks are the most common coating failures. You learn to prevent them before the coating cures.

What You Will Learn

The Complete Ceramic Coating Process

You learn every stage in the order professionals use it, from the first paint inspection to the final cure check.

  1. Inspect

Evaluate paint condition and find defects under proper lighting before you start.

  2. Decontaminate

Remove embedded contaminants with iron remover, clay and chemical decontamination.

  3. Correct

Know when polishing is needed so the coating locks in clarity and gloss, not swirls.

  4. Prep

Remove polishing oils and residue to create a clean surface the coating can bond to.

  5. Apply

Load the applicator and lay down even, consistent coverage panel by panel.

  6. Level

Read flash times and remove excess product at the right moment to avoid streaks and high spots.

  7. Cure and Inspect

Check every panel under inspection lights, then learn curing times and the aftercare to give customers.

Every step is demonstrated, explained and practiced in class

Questions

Ceramic Coating Class FAQ

Do I need detailing experience to take the ceramic coating class?

No. Beginners are welcome. We do recommend taking our Sanding and Polishing Workshop first, because paint correction and prep have a big effect on how a coating looks once it cures.

Will I apply the ceramic coating myself?

Yes. After each demonstration you prep, apply, level and inspect the coating yourself while the instructor coaches you.

Do I practice on a real car?

You practice on training hood panels and, when available, real vehicles. Both let you work through the full process from inspection to final check.

When and where is the ceramic coating class held?

The class runs the fourth Saturday of every month at Supreme Detailing Superstore, 506 N. State Road 434, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Your date and start time are confirmed when you book.

How much does the ceramic coating class cost?

The class is $199. Supreme PRO members save 25% on every Detailing Academy class.

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes. Coatings, prep products, applicators, towels, lighting and tools are all provided.

Which ceramic coating brands are used in class?

Students work with professional grade coatings. The exact products can change from class to class depending on what is being taught that day.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

It depends on the coating, how well the paint was prepped, installation quality, the environment and how the vehicle is maintained. The class covers how prep and aftercare affect durability so you can set the right expectations with customers.

Is ceramic coating better than wax?

A ceramic coating generally lasts longer than wax or sealant and offers stronger chemical resistance, more gloss and better water beading. It also needs proper prep, which is why installation skill matters.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. Every student who completes the class receives a Supreme Detailing Academy Certificate of Completion by email.
